Storm Announce Roster

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Southwest Kansas Storm have announced their roster ahead of their Week 1 Divisional Game agains The Salina Liberty. Between the Active Squad and Practice Squad The Storm retained 8 Offensive/Defensive Lineman, 7 Wide Receiver/Defensive Backs, 2 Quarterbacks, 2 Defensive Backs, 2 Running Back/Mike Linebackers, 2 Wide Receiver/Jack Linebackers, and 1 Kicker. Coach Thomas indicated he was very excited about the roster heading into the season opener, "We went a different route in some aspects in comparison to the traditional Arena Football League stereotypical sized players, and it's really noticeable in our Running Back and Linebacker position. I think this is going to open up the options that we have on both sides of the ball. In the Receiver room we wanted to have some options so we went with guys that are both ends of the spectrum, hoping that will give us options in the passing game. A goal of mine, at the beginning of this, was to big long and tall at the line positions. I think we did this, without sacrificing athleticism and quickness."
